Welcome to Camden Rodeo & Campdraft Club Inc.
Camden Rodeo and Campdraft club Inc. was established in March 2005.
We Conduct a Campdraft training day on the second Sunday of every month.
We have training day registration from 9.00am for a 10:00am start. The day finishes at around 4:00pm.
We as a club welcome the beginner to the horse world through to the experienced competitor in Campdrafting and Rodeo. Our training day structure is such that the instructors involved have differing levels of classes on the day, catering for all levels of rider.
Our club has a warm welcoming atmosphere with the intention that we are all here to have fun but work safely with our horse. Whether you want to be a serious competitor or just come as a social rider you are welcome to come along.
Our aim at a the club level is to give quality instruction to educate both rider and horse.
Our primary sport is Campdrafting and the training that goes with the sport.
We are proud that our club sees the need for horse and rider to be educated to a certain standard prior to entering an arena for the challenging cattle work involved with the sport of Campdrafting.
Campdrafting is fast, high risk horse sport; Therefore the club has a duty of care to ensure the members of the club are at a safe level and not going beyond the capabilities of the horse or the rider.
We as a club set a number of criteria and standards before we allow the club member to work with cattle at a fast pace. We set minimum standards and levels that you and your horse need to achieve prior to moving to the next level.
Our instructors at the training days are all committed to giving a high standard of instruction for the horse and rider to become proficient in basic horsemanship so that the horse and rider can be safe in the sport of Campdrafting or just pleasure riding.
